We are pleased that you have chosen the Caring Center for Women and our doctors to care for your sexual health. With gynecological care for women of all ages, our medical team has dedicated treatment that covers a woman's mind, body, and spirit as a whole for more than 25 years. The Caring Center for Women was established in 1986 by A. Ray Jacobson, M.D. and provided obstetric and gynecologic services to thousands of women in Central Texas. Dr. Jacobson cared for women for 20+ years until his retirement in August 2010. We are proud to continue exhibiting the same level of care that Dr. Jacobson envisioned.
Caring Center for Women is now comprised of five board-certified obstetrician-gynecologists (OBGYNs), one board-eligible OBGYN, and a lively ancillary staff of more than 22 medical personnel in two separate locations (New Braunfels, TX). Our highly qualified board-certified doctors (Drs. Teresa Irwin, Barrett Blaue, Kari Fay, and Beth Reid) and board-eligible doctors (Dr. Lauren Hermann and Brittney Schumann, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.) render services in gynecology, obstetrics, and urogynecology (also known as female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery). Proud to be the first team to bring the da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery (hysterectomy) to the San Antonio – Austin, TX Corridor, the Caring Center for Women provides our patients with state-of-the-art, minimally invasive care (and we perform more da Vinci surgeries than any other region in Central Texas). We are also very fortunate to have our president, Dr. Irwin, as the only board-certified female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon in the Corridor, and proctor of the da Vinci System for our region. Combined, our medical team is thorough, compassionate, and informative. We are ready to meet your needs and answer your questions about your feminine health.
